Poverty is something close to my consciousness. When you live in a third world country, it’s hard to look right through people who are in a state of deficiency and destitution.  These images convey that fighting poverty remains the most important dispute facing third world countries today, if not the whole world. Government may lie and hide this problem; a camera would not.

I also just read your comment with it (sorry, I didn't before ... ). I fully agree of course ... The question is : how could we stand living in a world/system which is able to find hundreds of million dollars to save banks when children are starving ?

great question. but here in our country, changing our type of governance would matter a lot. corruption? our country would be a good case study. makes me sad but its true.

i'm happy you appreciate this news feature. :)

a photograph is never enough though (and so is feeling hurt, or un-easyness)

solutions and ideas are primary. people will get involved.
the ideas just need to be instigated and people need to be led.

and you are right, poverty is the world greatest problem.
great article.

wow.. this reminds me of a documentary i watched.. a photographer goes to india to teach a bunch of kids photography so that they may pick it up and break out from the vicious cycle.. she also tries to put them into schools.. such a powerful documentary.. wait.. i go look for the title.. *googles*

Poverty is the plague of the poor.

It's amazing how people can see their pain through cameras.
